Welcome to Henfield Art Club

Founded in 1982, Henfield Art Club has been offering opportunities to artists of all abilities to get together and enjoy themselves. Throughout the year we hold a number of Art afternoons where members can meet and practise painting and sketching under the guidance of an experienced artist and tutor Madeline. We also run Workshops in different media. Members of all abilities, from complete beginners, are welcome to join these activities. See Programme page for details. In addition we have several Demonstration evenings from professional artists showcasing their skills and providing us with great creative inspiration. The year is rounded off with a Christmas Party so, as you can see, we have a busy schedule.

We all work in different media – watercolour, oils, acrylics, pencils, pastels as well as sculpture, wood-turning and kiln-formed glass. See our Artists page for some members. We have a good stock of practical DVDs and how-to-do books. We hold our Annual Exhibition at the end of October in the Henfield Hall, where we display work produced during the year. Some of our artists also participate in the Henfield Festival Of Gardens & Art in June.

We meet in the Garden Room, The Henfield Hall, Coopers Way, Henfield BN5 9DB. New members are always welcome – whether you are just starting out or are already a seasoned artist – just come along as a visitor to one of our Tuesday evening demonstrations and see what it’s like, or alternatively please see the Contact page for details of how to get in touch with us. Please note that we don’t provide classes, but many of our members run their own locally.
